Supporting young people for education and career development opportunities

The journey through education and into work can be an expensive time.

JMF is here to support financially disadvantaged young people under 25 living in Harpenden, Wheathampstead, Kimpton, Redbourn, Flamstead and Markyate.

JMF may be able to help where:

  • children are in receipt of means-tested Free School Meals
  • household income is primarily comprised of significant means-tested benefits
  • gross household income is less than £50,000 subject to a full financial assessment

Grants are only awarded towards future costs, we do not reimburse payments already made.

We aim to provide a significant contribution towards costs for activities and items such as:

Items related to work/
apprenticeships

Further education courses

College/university costs

Extra-curricular activities: sport, music, creative arts

Scout/Guide Camps and DofE Expeditions

Laptops

Curriculum-related residential school trips

School uniform
